Welcome to my psychotherapy practice in Vienna. I am pleased that you have found your way here. On this page, you will find concise information about my psychotherapeutic services, my working methods, and myself.
Feelings of anxiety are a natural human reaction but can become overwhelming and severely impact daily life – whether through panic attacks, constant worries, or specific phobias. If anxiety dominates your life and restricts your quality of life, professional support is an important step. Fortunately, anxiety disorders are very treatable with targeted psychotherapy.
In my practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) forms the core of anxiety disorder treatment, as this approach is scientifically recognized as one of the most effective methods for managing anxiety. The focus is on understanding the individual connections between anxiety-triggering thoughts, feelings, physical reactions, and behaviors, and identifying and changing dysfunctional patterns.
In the therapeutic process, we collaboratively develop concrete strategies for dealing with your anxiety. This includes identifying triggers, learning coping techniques (e.g., relaxation methods, mindfulness exercises), and often, gradually and gently challenging anxiety-provoking thoughts and situations in a safe and supportive environment. My goal is to accompany you in regaining control and security and expanding your scope of action.
Psychotherapy is a scientifically based healing method for treating psychological, psychosocial, and psychosomatic conditions. The aim is to alleviate emotional suffering, support during life crises, change unhelpful behaviors and thought patterns, and promote personal development and mental health.
My therapeutic focus is on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This approach is scientifically well-researched (evidence-based) and is considered the first-choice method for many psychological issues, especially anxiety disorders and depression.
CBT is characterized by a goal-oriented and transparent approach. We jointly analyze current problems and develop concrete strategies to identify and change dysfunctional thought and behavior patterns. A collaborative working relationship at eye level is particularly important to me: you are the expert on your experience, and I bring the psychotherapeutic expertise.
In addition to various studies, I worked as a psychologist at Caritas Vienna and as a psychotherapist at Sanatorium Hera before establishing my own practice. I also continue to teach and conduct research at the Medical University of Vienna.
